The Business Operations Lead will report to the CEO and will serve an instrumental role in helping Accrue Savings and its CEO achieve their goals.

Accrue Savings is backed by a fantastic set of VCs and angels, and has a large number of early retailer partners, led by an experienced founder and operator with a growing team. About the role

The Ops Lead will report to the CEO and will serve an instrumental role in helping Accrue Savings and its CEO achieve their goals. This role has a broad remit for a self-starter and natural problem-solver who is an expert in organizational dynamics and is at ease with ambiguity. Successful candidates will meld their EQ, humility, business acumen, and structured strategic thinking to provide leverage to the CEO and executive team in order to grow the business. This job’s working habits mirror those of the CEO: you should expect to feel like an owner in the business and work closely with the CEO, oftentimes off-hours if required.

Job Requirements

What you'll do

  • Develop reporting framework for KPIs and revenue metrics.
  • Report and provide analysis on KPIs.
  • Prepare board material.
  • Build out sales ops function.
  • Build and serve as primary owner for Hubspot pipeline.
  • Coordinate operational, legal , FP&A, and other foundational components of supporting Accrue Savings.
  • Help manage communications with stakeholders, including venture capital investors.
  • Build out custom pricing structures for sales deals.

What you'll need

  • Communications Skill: you are able to communicate in a crisp, structured manner in both written and verbal communications as a representative of the CEO, including candidates being  comfortable communicating with both slides and in long form (PRFAQ style)
  • Deep Analytical Acumen: you have prior experience in banking, consulting, or a similarly rigorous analytical role is required. Candidates should be comfortable modeling with financial data and analysis
  • Thrives in Ambiguity: you are a self-starter who consistently re-evaluate their own responsibilities and reprioritizes based on your assessment of what the company needs most
  • Strategic Systems Thinking: you bring to our business execution an informed strategic perspective informed by experience.
  • Detail Orientation with a Commitment to Follow-Through: you are capable of owning projects end-to-end and are responsible for all follow-through
  • Low Ego and High EQ: to you, no job is too small, no problem is too big to work through, particularly through collaboration with the team
  • Create Alignment and Synergy: leverage role to make sure department-level success is contributing to larger, organization-wide goals

What we'd love to see

  • Experience in banking, consulting, or a similarly rigorous analytical role is required
  • Prior experience in scaling an early stage start-up and working with VCs is preferred 
  • Payments experience is preferred

Salary

The estimated pay range for this role, based in New York City, is $140,000 - 200,000 (annual).

The range listed is just one component of Accrue's total compensation package; other benefits include those listed above such as equity, healthcare, and 401k.
